Caitlin Mathews has been an avid picture taker since she was quite young, following in the footsteps of her mother who was always ready to photograph special moments. Her own passion really took root in taking pictures of her own children, honing her skills through joy of capturing their lives. That love and care of documenting celebrations, life milestones, and the everyday unexpected moment is evident in her professional work.

​Over the past eight years that Caitlin has been a professional photographer, she has never tired of seeing the reactions of her clients as they see their photographs for the first time. In fact, it is arguably her favorite part of the job; being able to facilitate capturing someone’s most special moments.

While she loves to photograph anything from newborn shoots to creative and artistic, weddings might be her most beloved assignment. Being able to tell a couple’s story through her lens is a joyful task and she is always honored when a family chooses her to accompany them through such a momentous and special day.

It is Caitlin’s aim as a photographer to bring her clients’ moments to life in an authentic, relaxed style utilizing as much natural light as possible to create dynamic portraits. Nothing makes her happier than putting clients at ease and letting them enjoy the moment while she works to get every detail right. 

As a native Texan but recent Colorado transplant, she has a great appreciation of nature and uses it as inspiration quite often in her work. Enjoying the great outdoors with her two kids is a favorite family pastime as well as taking along her rescue dog, Lady. Caitlin loves to play softball, paint rocks, and support her kids at their sport events.
